Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)Salary: £15,369 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week, term time only
Deadline: Monday 6th June 2022
We are pleased to announce that we are expanding our existing TA team with two additional HLTA positions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the wider change and development of the SEND Department at Sandhurst School.
The role will focus primarily on the delivery of our intervention packages in English, mathematics and social skills. This will contribute to the program of study for SEND students who are withdrawn from the main curriculum because of a specific need. It is essential that we provide appropriate support and intervention for students who require a more bespoke curriculum, the successful candidate will be vital in ensuring we meet this obligation for our SEND students at Sandhurst.
The successful candidate will benefit from support and direction from both the SENCo and the SLT in the delivery of these interventions. If it is not already held, we will also require the successful candidate to complete the HLTA qualification while carrying out their new role. You will work collaboratively with the existing HLTA to support the SENDCo with the running of the department. Where appropriate, this will include helping to organise the TA team in the event of absence, so that the needs of our SEND students in lessons are met.
